MOHAN TENUWARA

ARTIST STATEMENT

Inspired by the Canadian prairie landscape, Mohan Tenuwara’s paintings explore the connection between people, place, and time. Drawn to Manitoba’s vast skies, changing seasons, and ever-shifting light, he captures moments where land, atmosphere, and human experience intersect.

Light is at the heart of his work, shaping form, mood, and meaning. Through a balance of observation, colour, pattern, and rhythm, he seeks to express not only the visual character of a place but also the emotions and memories it evokes.

Mohan’s paintings celebrate the beauty, resilience, and quiet poetry of the Canadian landscape, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and deepen their connection to the world around them.
